MADCAT X-ZIBIT Deluxe – Catfish Rods
Price from 100.47 € View productsPowerful catfish rods for long-distance buoy and underwater float fishing
MADCAT X-ZIBIT Deluxe is a series of powerful catfish rods developed for targeting large catfish at considerable distances from the bank. These rods are particularly suitable for stationary fishing techniques involving buoy rigs, underwater floats and heavy catfish setups. Such methods demand a combination of rod length, structural strength and reliable control over rigs positioned far from the fishing spot. The X-ZIBIT Deluxe range has been designed with these requirements in mind, offering substantial lifting power and the durability needed to handle demanding fights with large freshwater predators. Its medium-fast action provides a controlled bend under pressure while maintaining the strength necessary for firm hook sets and effective fish control. This balance makes the rods suitable for demanding catfish sessions on major rivers and expansive reservoirs, where rigs are often positioned at considerable distances using a boat. The different lengths available in the series allow anglers to select a rod that matches their fishing environment, bank position and preferred method of pr...

The different lengths available in the series allow anglers to select a rod that matches their fishing environment, bank position and preferred method of presenting heavy catfish rigs.
At the heart of the X-ZIBIT Deluxe series is a strong, reinforced 24T carbon blank, constructed to withstand the considerable loads generated during fights with powerful catfish. Its high lifting strength helps anglers maintain control when a fish makes sudden runs or attempts to reach underwater obstacles. The rods feature original SeaGuide guides, which support smooth line movement and work together with the blank as it bends under heavy pressure. A SeaGuide DBS reel seat provides a secure connection between the rod and reel, an important feature when fishing with strong braided lines and heavy rigs. The fighting grip is made from EVA foam and finished with a protective, non-slip heat-shrink covering. This construction provides a firm, comfortable hold during prolonged fights and makes the handle easier to clean after fishing. Together, these components create a robust and practical rod designed for the demanding conditions associated with serious catfish fishing. The combination of strong materials, reliable fittings and a carefully balanced action supports effective handling of both heavy terminal tackle and powerful fish.
The MADCAT X-ZIBIT Deluxe range includes four models measuring 2.75 m, 3.00 m, 3.20 m and 3.45 m. Every model features a casting weight rating of 150–300 g, a medium-fast action and a two-piece construction. The 2.75 m version weighs 493 g and has a transport length of 142 cm. The 3.00 m model weighs 543 g, with a transport length of 155 cm. The 3.20 m rod weighs 575 g and measures 164 cm when packed, while the longest 3.45 m version weighs 640 g and has a transport length of 177 cm. These length options make it easier to adapt the rod to different fishing situations and the distance at which the rig is positioned. Shorter models offer more convenient handling on restricted bankside swims, while longer versions help keep the fishing line elevated above the water and provide greater reach when managing distant setups. With their reinforced 24T carbon construction, SeaGuide components and considerable reserves of power, X-ZIBIT Deluxe rods are a suitable choice for anglers looking for dependable equipment for stationary catfish fishing with buoy systems, underwater floats and other heavy rigs.
