Salmo Fatso 10 cm is a versatile lure combining the characteristics of a crankbait and a jerkbait, designed primarily for pike and zander fishing. Its bulky, laterally flattened body and distinctive erratic action allow the Fatso to be worked in several different ways and adapted to the activity of predatory fish.
The Fatso can be retrieved steadily like a traditional hard lure, twitched with short rod movements or worked more aggressively like a jerkbait. It responds well to changes of speed and pauses, which alter the lure’s movement and can help trigger less active predators. The model is also suitable for trolling.
The Floating version weighs 48 g and runs at approximately 0.8–1.2 m. It is well suited to shallower bays, flats, weed edges and areas where pike hunt in the upper layers of the water. The Sinking version weighs 59 g and runs at approximately 1.2–2 m, allowing deeper parts of the venue to be covered more effectively.
The 10 cm size is a highly versatile choice for pike, but it can also be effective for zander and larger perch. The new generation of Salmo Fatso is fitted with sharp and durable BKK treble hooks.
Salmo Fatso 10 cm works well for classic spinning as well as more active twitching and jerking. Floating and sinking versions make it easy to adapt the presentation to the depth of the swim and the feeding behaviour of predatory fish.
