Hunter Proton is a jointed lure designed primarily for pike fishing. It was created for jerking, but does not need constant rod-tip movements to produce an attractive action.
Even on a slow, steady retrieve, Proton develops a distinctive action, allowing it to be fished both actively and with a more restrained presentation. The manufacturer particularly recommends it for pike fishing in lakes and suggests using a short rod.
The available model is 10 cm long, weighs 35 g and is sinking. Its sinking construction allows the lure to be worked below the surface and the presentation to be adjusted to the activity of the fish.
Hunter Proton lures are hand-painted, so the product photos are for reference only and the colour or finish of individual lures may vary slightly.
Hunter is a Polish fishing lure brand with roots in handcrafted lure making. Production of Hunter lures began in 2009, while Hunter Polska was established in 2010.
The Hunter range includes a wide selection of spinning lures designed for different predatory fish. It includes lures for asp, trout, chub, ide, pike and zander, as well as small surface lures, river models, lipless lures and jerkbaits.
Individual series are developed for specific fishing styles and conditions – from subtle presentations with small chub and trout lures, through surface fishing for asp, to heavier lures for pike and zander. This makes it possible to choose a Hunter lure for rivers, lakes or Trout Area fisheries.
