Salmo Hornet 5 cm is one of the most versatile sizes in the iconic Hornet series. Its compact body, characteristic aggressive action and ability to run at considerable depth make it an excellent choice for perch, zander and pike, as well as other predators feeding on small fish.The Hornet starts working quickly after entering the water and produces strong, regular vibrations that are clearly felt through the rod. It remains stable at both slower and faster retrieve speeds, as well as in current. This makes it suitable for rivers, lakes, canals and reservoirs, particularly when covering deeper channels, drop-offs, underwater shelves and areas around submerged structure.The Floating version weighs 7 g and runs at approximately 2–4.6 m. When the retrieve is stopped, it begins to rise towards the surface, allowing the running depth to be changed and helping the lure pass over obstacles. Salmo Hornet 5 cm can be retrieved steadily, worked with changes of speed, fished with short pauses or presented close to the bottom. Its strong, high-frequency action makes the lure easy for predators to detect even in less clear water. The new generation of the Hornet is fitted with BKK treble hooks.
