Solvkroken Skimmer are compact suspending wobblers designed for trout, perch and other freshwater predators. The series was created for active spinning, long casting and a strong, clearly noticeable action even in more demanding fishing conditions.
The wider body shape and pronounced rolling action make Skimmer highly effective at provoking predatory fish during the retrieve. The lure performs very well both with steady retrieves and more aggressive twitching techniques.
Suspending wobblers with strong and visible action
Skimmer combines fine wobbling action with stronger body rolling, pushing plenty of water and remaining highly visible to predators even in darker or slightly stained water conditions.
The suspending design allows the lure to stay motionless in the strike zone during pauses, often triggering bites exactly at the moment the retrieve stops. The lure also reacts very well to short twitches and stop&go presentation.

The lure works especially well in colder water conditions, when predatory fish often react better to a more stable and readable lure action.
Long casting and stable lure control
The built-in weight transfer system improves casting distance and accuracy, helping anglers cover more water without losing control over the lure action. Once in the water, Skimmer quickly stabilizes and tracks consistently during the retrieve.
Skimmer is equipped with strong BKK treble hooks and available in a wide range of colours, including both natural baitfish patterns and more aggressive trigger finishes.
Solvkroken
The company Solvkroken was established in Skien in 1930. Spesial no. 40 immediately became a great success, and is still one of our best-selling saltwater jig lures. The business expanded and needed larger premises, and in 1954,
Sølvkroken moved to the centre of Arendal. Sea fishing became increasingly popular, and in 1976, the company built new and larger premises at Stoa industrial park right outside Arendal, where we now are located.
Solvkroken is currently a modern enterprise with approximately 60 employees. It is a leading total supplier of angling equipment. We are still manufacturing our lures and jigs at Stoa. Several of our employees are keen
anglers who continually develop new and improved products. The production of lures is, to a large extent, still a handicraft where decor, eye, hook and split ring are assembled manually.
