MADCAT X-ZIBIT Spin – Catfish Rods

MADCAT X-ZIBIT Spin is a series of durable catfish rods designed for actively targeting catfish with artificial lures. These rods combine substantial power with excellent responsiveness, providing effective lure control and reliable performance when fighting powerful fish. They are suitable for fishing with large soft plastic lures, hard lures and spoons specifically designed for catfish fishing. The 40–150 g casting weight range allows anglers to use lures of different sizes and weights, making it easier to adapt their tackle to water depth, current strength and fish activity. The series includes models suitable for fishing from both the bank and a boat. These rods are ideal for exploring river channels, deep holes, rocky banks and areas close to submerged trees. Their robust construction makes them particularly suitable for anglers who regularly target large catfish in demanding fishing conditions.

The rods are built around reinforced 24T carbon blanks, designed to withstand the considerable stresses associated with casting heavy lures and fighting powerful fish. The blanks provide suitable stiffness, quick bite detection and the power reserves needed during challenging fights. Their medium-fast action allows precise lure presentation, effective hooksets and helps absorb sudden movements when fighting large catfish. The responsive upper section helps maintain consistent tension on the braided line, while the powerful butt section allows anglers to apply firm pressure and prevent fish from reaching underwater obstacles. The rods feature ergonomic SeaGuide XSS reel seats with a double locking system, ensuring secure reel attachment during intensive fishing sessions. Their durable construction performs well during repeated casting, retrieving large lures in strong currents and fighting fish in confined areas. The combination of power and controlled flexibility helps anglers maintain effective control over their tackle throughout the fishing session.

The MADCAT X-ZIBIT Spin series includes two models measuring 2.45 m and 2.75 m, both featuring a 40–150 g casting weight rating and medium-fast action. The shorter 2.45 m model weighs 344 g, features a two-piece 1+1 construction and has a transport length of 185 cm. This version provides comfortable handling and precise lure control, particularly when fishing from a boat or in locations with limited casting space. The longer 2.75 m model weighs 368 g, consists of two sections and has a transport length of 141 cm. Its additional length facilitates longer casts, improves braided line management and makes it easier to work lures from the bank, especially on wide rivers and extensive fishing grounds. Both models feature reinforced 24T carbon blanks and SeaGuide XSS reel seats, providing the strength and reliability required when fighting large catfish. Choosing the appropriate rod length allows anglers to match their equipment to their preferred fishing technique and the characteristics of their fishing location. MADCAT X-ZIBIT Spin is an excellent choice for anglers seeking powerful, responsive and reliable catfish rods for active fishing with artificial lures, offering precise lure control, comfortable handling and substantial power reserves when fighting large fish.
