Hunter Idol is a series of sinking asp lures designed primarily for fishing large rivers. Their distinctive feature is a flashing action with subtle side-to-side flicker, resembling the characteristic movement of bleak – one of the main prey fish for river asp.
Idol lures work with a characteristic movement around the Y-axis, producing a clear flashing effect during the retrieve. This type of action suits asp fishing well, especially when predators are feeding on small baitfish.
The relatively high weight and concentrated mass make the Idol capable of surprisingly long casts. This is especially useful on wide rivers, where feeding asp often hold well away from the bank.
In spring and summer, the manufacturer recommends fishing around current seams and the areas formed behind groynes. In autumn, the edges of these currents and river groynes themselves become key areas to cover. Asp are the main target, while pike and chub are also frequent by-catches.

Hunter is a Polish fishing lure brand with roots in handcrafted lure making. Production of Hunter lures began in 2009, while Hunter Polska was established in 2010.
The Hunter range includes a wide selection of spinning lures designed for different predatory fish. It includes lures for asp, trout, chub, ide, pike and zander, as well as small surface lures, river models, lipless lures and jerkbaits.
Individual series are developed for specific fishing styles and conditions – from subtle presentations with small chub and trout lures, through surface fishing for asp, to heavier lures for pike and zander. This makes it possible to choose a Hunter lure for rivers, lakes or Trout Area fisheries.
