Lucky John Original Bullhead is a hard lure with a distinctive broad profile designed to imitate a bullhead. The lure measures 6.5 cm (2.6 in) and is available in an 11 g (0.39 oz) sinking version and a 10 g (0.35 oz) slow-sinking version.
Its body shape and natural colour patterns make it suitable for venues where bullheads and other small bottom-dwelling fish form part of the predators’ diet. Original Bullhead is intended for targeting species including pike, perch and salmon.
The sinking design allows the lure to be worked through deeper water and close to the bottom. The 11 g model reaches the required depth more quickly, while the 10 g version sinks more slowly and gives the angler more time to present it above stones and other underwater obstacles.
The lure can be retrieved steadily, fished with short pauses or lifted gently with the rod. Changes of pace imitate a small fish moving close to the bottom, while pauses help keep the lure near a likely holding area for longer.
