Hunter Chrabąszcz are small floating surface lures designed primarily for chub and ide fishing. Their insect-like shape and action imitate a struggling bug that has accidentally fallen into the water and is moving close to the surface.
Chrabąszcz works particularly well in small, shallow and clear rivers, where fish often feed on insects from the surface. Retrieved close to the top, the lure creates a subtle disturbance and presents a natural target for chub, ide and also asp.
The lure can be presented beneath overhanging vegetation, around bankside cover, in slower sections of the current and in places where insects regularly fall into the water. The flow itself can also be used to carry the lure naturally towards likely fish-holding areas.
Keeping the line clear of the water is important during the retrieve. Reducing contact between the line and the surface helps maintain the natural action of this small lure and gives better control over its presentation.
Hunter Chrabąszcz lures are hand-painted, so the product photos are for reference only and the colour or finish of individual lures may vary slightly.
Hunter is a Polish fishing lure brand with roots in handcrafted lure making. Production of Hunter lures began in 2009, while Hunter Polska was established in 2010.
The Hunter range includes a wide selection of spinning lures designed for different predatory fish. It includes lures for asp, trout, chub, ide, pike and zander, as well as small surface lures, river models, lipless lures and jerkbaits.
Individual series are developed for specific fishing styles and conditions – from subtle presentations with small chub and trout lures, through surface fishing for asp, to heavier lures for pike and zander. This makes it possible to choose a Hunter lure for rivers, lakes or Trout Area fisheries.
