Hunter Fantom is a series of sinking lipless lures developed primarily for asp fishing. Its construction is designed to combine strong vibration with a tight, compact action that closely resembles the movement of a small baitfish.
One of the key features of the Fantom is the way it works in the water. Its action is similar to that of a blade bait, generating pronounced vibration through the whole body while keeping the movement tight and controlled. This allows the lure to create a strong signal without an excessively wide action.
The finish is another important part of the design. The scale pattern and colour are intended to imitate bleak, one of the main prey species for asp. Its strongly iridescent surface changes appearance with the angle of the light, giving the lure a far more natural look in the water than product photos can fully show.
The combination of a realistic baitfish profile and strong vibration allows the Fantom to attract predators both visually and through the movement it sends through the water. It is particularly useful when targeting difficult asp that are not responding to lures with a more subtle action.
Fantom is not limited to asp. Its pronounced vibration and sinking design can also produce zander and catfish, which are common by-catches with this series, as well as other predatory fish feeding on small baitfish.
The range includes sinking 7 cm models weighing 10 and 15 g, plus 9 cm models weighing 15 and 25 g. The different options make it easier to match the lure to the fishing conditions and the depth at which the fish are feeding.
Hunter Fantom lures are hand-painted, so the product photos are for reference only and the colour or finish of individual lures may vary slightly.
Hunter is a Polish fishing lure brand with roots in handcrafted lure making. Production of Hunter lures began in 2009, while Hunter Polska was established in 2010.
The Hunter range includes a wide selection of spinning lures designed for different predatory fish. It includes lures for asp, trout, chub, ide, pike and zander, as well as small surface lures, river models, lipless lures and jerkbaits.
Individual series are developed for specific fishing styles and conditions – from subtle presentations with small chub and trout lures, through surface fishing for asp, to heavier lures for pike and zander. This makes it possible to choose a Hunter lure for rivers, lakes or Trout Area fisheries.
