Hunter Virus is a specialist lipless lure designed primarily for asp feeding in the deeper layers of the water. Its sinking design allows the lure to be worked deeper than typical surface and shallow-running models.
Virus is also effective for pike fishing in deep lakes, where the ability to present the lure in the lower layers of the water can be particularly useful.
The range includes 5 cm models in 5, 8 and 11 g versions, as well as a larger 8.2 cm model weighing 16 g. All versions are sinking, with asp and pike listed as the main target species.
Hunter Virus lures are hand-painted, so the product photos are for reference only and the colour or finish of individual lures may vary slightly.
Hunter is a Polish fishing lure brand with roots in handcrafted lure making. Production of Hunter lures began in 2009, while Hunter Polska was established in 2010.
The Hunter range includes a wide selection of spinning lures designed for different predatory fish. It includes lures for asp, trout, chub, ide, pike and zander, as well as small surface lures, river models, lipless lures and jerkbaits.
Individual series are developed for specific fishing styles and conditions – from subtle presentations with small chub and trout lures, through surface fishing for asp, to heavier lures for pike and zander. This makes it possible to choose a Hunter lure for rivers, lakes or Trout Area fisheries.
