Lucky John Salt Minnow is a series of large lures with a slim, elongated body, designed for targeting bigger predatory fish in freshwater and saltwater. The range includes floating and sinking models in 17.5 and 21 cm lengths, allowing the lure to be matched to the fishing depth, retrieve speed and size of the natural prey.
The smaller Salt Minnow 175F measures 17.5 cm / 6.9 in, weighs 21 g and is a floating model. It runs to approximately 1 m, making it suitable for fishing over shallow flats, weed beds, marginal drop-offs and areas where predators feed closer to the surface.
Salt Minnow 175S retains the 17.5 cm / 6.9 in body length but weighs 24 g and has a sinking design. It can reach approximately 2 m and remain at the selected depth for longer. This version is useful in stronger wind, during faster retrieves and when covering deeper holding areas.

Salt Minnow 210S is the heaviest and deepest-running version in the series. It measures 21 cm / 8.3 in, weighs 45 g and reaches approximately 3 m. The sinking model is well suited to fishing deeper drop-offs, channel edges and open water when large predators are holding below the surface layer.
Salt Minnow lures can be fished with a steady retrieve, using changes in speed to vary their action, or worked with short accelerations and pauses. The floating models rise when stopped, while the sinking versions allow the angler to pause without quickly losing the established fishing depth.
Two body lengths and four buoyancy and depth options make it easier to select the right lure for the conditions. The lighter 175 versions provide a more restrained presentation, while the larger 210 models create a stronger silhouette for predators feeding on bigger prey.

Lucky John is best known for its wide range of spinning lures designed for perch, zander, pike, trout and other predatory fish. The range includes soft lures, wobblers, inline spinners and spoons that can be matched to different venues, fishing depths and retrieval styles.
Soft lures make up the largest part of the Lucky John range. It includes classic paddle-tail lures, slim profiles for jigging, curly-tail grubs, fork-tail lures, worms and imitations of creatures living close to the bottom. Series such as Tioga, Joco Shaker, S-Shad Tail, Makora, Kubira and Hogy Hog allow anglers to select the right action and size for rivers, lakes and reservoirs.
Lucky John wobblers include small models for trout, chub and perch, as well as larger lures designed for pike and zander. Depending on their construction, they can be retrieved steadily, worked with sharp twitches or used to explore deeper parts of the water column.
The range is complemented by inline spinners and spoons suitable for fishing in current, still waters and trout fisheries. Different sizes and profiles make it possible to choose a lure for slow presentations as well as faster searching retrieves.
Lucky John also offers a limited selection of spinning rods, which form a small addition to the brand’s extensive lure range.
