Lucky John Shady Crank is a floating crankbait designed for covering deeper areas of lakes, reservoirs and slower rivers. Its compact 60 mm body and 12 g weight make it a versatile lure for perch, zander and pike.
The large diving lip takes the lure down to approximately 2.8 m. This allows anglers to reach fish holding over deeper flats, along drop-offs, close to submerged structures and above vegetation growing below the surface.
Shady Crank maintains a stable action across a broad range of retrieve speeds. A slower retrieve keeps it in the selected depth zone for longer, while a faster pace allows the angler to cover more water efficiently when searching for active predators.
The floating construction makes short pauses particularly useful. Once the retrieve is stopped, the lure begins to rise towards the surface, helping it clear obstacles, alter its path or trigger a following fish. When the retrieve resumes, it quickly returns to its working depth.
