Lucky John Pro Series Baby Rockfish are small soft baits designed for perch, trout and other fish feeding on small prey. The range includes 35 and 61 mm (1.4 and 2.4 in) models, allowing the lure size to be matched to the tackle, fishing conditions and activity of the fish.
Baby Rockfish performs well with ultralight spinning tackle in both still and flowing water. It can be worked with short lifts, slowly dragged close to the bottom or presented gently through the water column, particularly when fish show little interest in larger, more aggressively moving soft baits.
The range is also suitable for ice fishing. The smaller 35 mm (1.4 in) model allows a subtle presentation with light rigging, while gentle movements of the rod tip are enough to animate the lure beneath the ice.
The soft baits have a strong and lasting mackerel scent, providing an additional stimulus during slow retrieves and longer pauses. The 61 mm (2.4 in) version creates a more visible profile and can be used to target larger perch, trout and black bass.
