Lucky John Tioga Fat is a bulky soft lure combining an elongated, worm-like body with a small paddle tail. Its thicker front section creates a prominent profile in the water, making the lure well suited to targeting zander, pike and larger perch.
Dense transverse ribbing increases the surface area of the body and strengthens the water disturbance produced during the retrieve. The small paddle tail remains active during both steady retrieves and the fall without creating an excessively wide action. This allows Tioga Fat to work during periods of active feeding as well as with slower presentations close to the bottom.
Rigged on a standard jig head, the lure can be worked with short lifts, single hops or a slow bottom-hugging retrieve. Its bulky body and pronounced ribs create a clearly visible profile on the drop, making it useful around slopes, submerged humps, plateaus and harder sections of bottom.

Tioga Fat can also be retrieved steadily through open water or above vegetation. With the appropriate weight, the small paddle tail maintains a regular action while the ribbed body adds further water displacement. This presentation is useful when searching for pike and actively feeding zander.
The 99 mm (3.9 in) version creates a compact but noticeable profile suitable for zander, larger perch and pike feeding on smaller prey. The 114 mm (4.5 in) model produces a stronger presence in the water and is a good choice when targeting larger zander and pike.
The soft material allows the body and tail to move freely and helps the lure fold naturally when taken by a predator. It is enhanced with a distinct mackerel scent, adding another stimulus during slow retrieves, the fall and longer pauses.
Lucky John Tioga Fat is supplied in packs of 5 in the 99 mm (3.9 in) size and packs of 4 in the 114 mm (4.5 in) size. The colour can be selected according to water clarity, light conditions and the appearance of the natural forage present in the venue.
