Dorado Splash Pop is a range of floating poppers designed for surface fishing. During the retrieve, the lure stays on top rather than diving below the surface, creating plenty of splashing and noise to attract predators feeding in the upper layers of the water.
Splash Pop is particularly well suited to very shallow and heavily weeded waters. Its surface action allows it to be worked above submerged vegetation and through areas where conventional deeper-running lures would quickly snag.
In rivers, Dorado Splash Pop is especially effective for asp. The smallest 4 cm model can also be a good choice for trout and chub, particularly when fish are actively feeding close to the surface.
The range includes several sizes: 4 cm weighing 6 g, 6 cm weighing 10 g, 8 cm weighing 36 g and 12 cm weighing 52 g. This makes it possible to match the popper to anything from lighter river spinning to stronger tackle and larger predators.
