MADCAT X-ZIBIT Vertical – Catfish Rod

MADCAT X-ZIBIT Vertical 180 is a specialized catfish rod designed for vertical catfish fishing from boats. This model has been developed for active fishing techniques where the lure is presented directly beneath the rod, close to the bottom or at the depth where catfish are holding. Its compact 1.80 m length provides comfortable handling in the limited space available on a boat and allows precise control over lure movements. The short construction makes it easier to maintain direct contact with the lure and react quickly to bites. This rod is particularly suitable for targeting catfish in deep river channels, underwater holes and reservoirs, where accurate lure presentation and reliable power are essential for successful fishing.

One of the most important features of this model is its extra-fast action, providing excellent tip responsiveness and direct transmission of rod movements to the lure. This characteristic allows anglers to perform short, precise lifts and react immediately to aggressive catfish strikes. The 150–250 g casting weight rating makes the rod suitable for heavier lures used in vertical catfish fishing, particularly when targeting fish at greater depths or in stronger currents. Its powerful construction provides the strength required for effective hooksets and demanding fights with large fish. Another important advantage is the one-piece blank, which ensures consistent rod performance throughout its entire length. The combination of compact dimensions and fast action makes it easier to maintain control over powerful catfish directly beneath the boat, even during sudden runs and attempts to dive towards the bottom.

MADCAT X-ZIBIT Vertical 180 measures 1.80 m and has a casting weight rating of 150–250 g. The rod weighs 280 g, features a one-piece construction and has a transport length of 181 cm. Its extra-fast action provides precise lure control and quick hooksets, while the powerful blank offers the strength needed to fight large catfish effectively. The compact length facilitates handling from a boat and allows anglers to present lures accurately beneath the vessel. This model is intended for anglers who prefer vertical fishing techniques and require equipment capable of handling heavier lures while maintaining reliable control during demanding fights. MADCAT X-ZIBIT Vertical is an excellent choice for anglers seeking a powerful, responsive and durable catfish rod for active vertical fishing, combining precision, comfortable handling and substantial power reserves when targeting large fish.
