Solvkroken Calamar is a series of sea fishing pilkers developed for effective fishing in deep Norwegian fjords and offshore waters of the North Atlantic. The distinctive body shape allows the lure to reach great depths quickly while maintaining stable action even in strong currents.
The Calamar design generates attractive flashes and additional vibration during retrieval, helping to draw the attention of cod, coalfish, ling and other predatory fish feeding close to the bottom.
During the drop, the lure produces noticeable movement and vibration, while on pauses it glides and swings to the sides. This behaviour imitates a weakened or escaping baitfish and often triggers aggressive strikes, even in challenging fishing conditions.
Its high weight and streamlined profile allow the Solvkroken Calamar to sink rapidly and maintain excellent contact with the lure at depth. This is particularly important when fishing deep water locations where strong currents can make lure control more difficult.

Solvkroken
The company Solvkroken was established in Skien in 1930. Spesial no. 40 immediately became a great success, and is still one of our best-selling saltwater jig lures. The business expanded and needed larger premises, and in 1954,
Sølvkroken moved to the centre of Arendal. Sea fishing became increasingly popular, and in 1976, the company built new and larger premises at Stoa industrial park right outside Arendal, where we now are located.
Solvkroken is currently a modern enterprise with approximately 60 employees. It is a leading total supplier of angling equipment. We are still manufacturing our lures and jigs at Stoa. Several of our employees are keen
anglers who continually develop new and improved products. The production of lures is, to a large extent, still a handicraft where decor, eye, hook and split ring are assembled manually.
