Jensen Sild is originally a traditional Herring lure that has now become a Jig. With its compact shape it will sink rapidly to where the fish is. It should be jigged carefully in order to imitate Herring which is on the main menu for fish like big Cod, Haddock, and Pollock. The picture shows the Jig in 110 Grams.
The company Solvkroken
was established in Skien in 1930. Spesial no. 40 immediately became a great success, and is still one of our best-selling saltwater jig lures. The business expanded and needed larger premises, and in 1954,
Sølvkroken moved to the centre of Arendal. Sea fishing became increasingly popular, and in 1976, the company built new and larger premises at Stoa industrial park right outside Arendal, where we now are located.
Solvkroken is currently a modern enterprise with approximately 60 employees. It is a leading total supplier of angling equipment. We are still manufacturing our lures and jigs at Stoa. Several of our employees are keen
anglers who continually develop new and improved products. The production of lures is, to a large extent, still a handicraft where decor, eye, hook and split ring are assembled manually.
